Initiative
Since its inception in 2017, Lowco Media and its flagship outlet LowcoSports.com have aimed to provide the most comprehensive LOCAL sports coverage in the Lowcountry and produce content that celebrates the successes of our teams and student-athletes. As part of this mission, we welcome students who are interested in studying or working in the media field to join our team and benefit from real-world experience and professional mentorship.
Founded in June 2017 to fill the vacuum of LOCAL sports coverage left behind by legacy media, Lowco Media and its flagship outlet LowcoSports.com provide the most comprehensive LOCAL sports coverage in the Lowcountry and keep sports fans informed while celebrating the success of our teams and student-athletes. Over the years, a number of Team Lowco interns and student contributors have gained hands-on experience and professional mentorship that they have parlayed into educational and career opportunities in the media field. Just like the athletes we cover, our student journalists hone their skills through repitition and training, always striving to create more compelling content. Students who were part of Team Lowco have gone on to study at Syracuse University, Furman University, Benedict College, Charleston Southern, Georgia Southern, USCB, and other academic institutions, and many have gone on to careers in the field or started their own businesses.
One Lowco Academy
One Lowco Academy gets kids better locally with development at the forefront of everything we do. From private lessons to small groups, all the way to clinics & camps. We set a standard, stack functional repititions in a live action, read & react environment. Better decisions at game speed.

We start early, keeping it fun first, adding fundamentals and layering IQ. Modeled after Intenational FIBA academies

The One Lowco Foundation aims to help facilitate and sustain grassroots programming that allows young athletes and aspiring sports media professionals in the South Carolina Lowcountry to develop to their full potential and access opportunities to leverage their talents and academic prowess into college scholarships and, potentially, careers.
